Luttelgeest: Have you visited the Orchideeën garden?
There is a butterfly garden also  and its worth a visit, especially in bad weather.
Ossenzijl: Ofcourse you cannot skip the visitor center from Staatsbosbeheer.
Here is shown the history of The Weerribben. Fun for the kids is the childwalk " Zompie's  Zoekpad".
And in Kalenberg there is a new footpad through the reeds (put on your booths).

Nearby Steenwijk there is a watchtower where you can overlook the surrounding, its nearby Tuk's Theehuis where you can drink a cup of tea/coffee.
